Inter Club Council (ICC) and Clubs

Imagine that you are stranded on a desert island and you can only pick one thing to entertain yourself.
Your choices are: a.) a mariachi band, b.) a traveling flea circus c.) a De Anza club

If you picked letter c, then you've come to the right place.

The "ICC" stands for De Anza's Inter Club Council, a place to inspire creativity and connections. We are composed of over 50 clubs that cover a diverse range of students and those stuck on deserted islands. The genres differ from martial arts and volunteer opportunities to culture, language, and religion. It takes more than classes to make a full college experience. Joining a club will help you create friendships, develop new talents, and hone your leadership skills. Clubs meet at many different times to fit into your packed schedule, and most need nothing other than a time investment to be member. No ID required.

A list of current clubs and their meeting times and locations are available. Don't see a club that catches your fancy?? Start one!! Download a "How to Start a New Club" packet (Adobe Acrobat Reader required, see link at bottom of page to get it) and a Club Constitution Template (Microsoft Word 97 or later required) to get started.

Questions or confusions? Everything is welcome.. just catch us on the phone, by email, or better yet, at the ICC Office during our office hours. Our contact information and office hours are listed below.

The ICC itself consists of an ICC Representative from each club, an adviser, and three officers: ICC Chair, ICC Chair of Finance, and ICC Chair of Programs.

Besides providing a forum for all clubs on campus for interaction and support, the ICC also sponsors many events such as:

Quotes from the ICC Officers
Shuo "Kobe" Gong Dear De Anza students, Thanks for your attention to ICC and clubs on campus. This is the end of winter quarter, hopefully your hard-working  will have a wonderful return and please have a fabulous and safe break.
As your new ICC chairperson, I will devote myself to the promotion of clubs and the unity among them, in order to make our prevailing campus more active. Don't forget to check us out on club day, which is held in the third week of each quarter. You will have an easy access to all the clubs on campus and have a direct contact with us.
Having some suggestions to enhance the function of ICC or the betterment of our clubs? Stop me any time you see me, let's together make our campus exciting and rejoicing.
- Shuo "Kobe" Gong

It is my pleasure to welcome each of you, and I look forward working and perhaps meeting each one of you, if possible, during our Spring Quarter 2008.
Spring Quarter should be an exciting time for both students involved in clubs, and those students who will be exploring club life for the first time at De Anza College.  With such enthusiastic events such as Spring Carnival, I am sure that you will find life very enriching and rewarding here.
If you are already a club member or officer, it is my goal to make this quarter even more exciting than it was last quarter, and if you are a new student or have not become involved in student life yet at De Anza College, I encourage to consider becoming a member of a student club that interest you, and of course, you may also start new club, if you wish.
Again, I welcome you, and as we SPRING into a new beginning or new quarter, let’s continue to what ICC is known for
