Prospective Volunteer Teaching Assistants

Advantages for the tutor include a letter of recommendation to College(s) and/or employers. Most importantly you will develop the ability to work with another person's code and to develop team work skills - all in abiding by the mantra "help the student, not the assignment".

Become a tutor:

Step 1: Complete the form Application for Tutoring Position

Step 2: Complete an interview with the either the Computer Lab Coordinator in ATC 203 or Department Chair Mary Pape.

Step 3: Complete all paperwork including the background and fingerprinting as mandated by the State of California.
