Ability De Anza

Active Minds at De Anza

At our chapter, we strive to create a safe space for our community to speak up about their struggles with mental health, in order to destigmatize mental health, and provide a safe space for students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking. Ad Astra Programming Club

This club purpose is to collect people who have curiosity, passion and desire to learn . Facilitate training and support for upcoming hackathon around bay area combine software and hardware. We together as a team to solve real-world problem through our profession and skills.

The Art Guild gives students an opportunity to practice art and receive critique outside of class. Special activities include; life drawing, workshops, meeting fellow artists on campus, and developing new techniques in other mediums.

The purpose of the club is to educate students on the field of artificial intelligence through discussion, research, and experimentation. We aim to create a community in which each member can pursue their artificial intelligence related interests.

Black Student Union

At De Anza’s Black Student Union, we want a club that celebrates and connects black culture and history. In the club people will have a safe space to discuss race and politics, learn about human rights, learn about black culture, and plan events to give back to the community. Black Student Union is open to everyone, regardless of race, gender, or sexuality. This extracurricular group will also seek to become actively involved in the school district communitywhile enriching the college experience for club and non-club members alike.We hope future students will give us a chance and connect with students that have the same passion.

Brain Trainer, De Anza

The purpose of this club is to teach memory palace and mind map like memory skills to help students perform well academically and find new and more effective ways to study/review material.

Bravo Drama Appreciation and Acting Club

Our mission is to help students build their confidence by learning how to actually act on the stage and also develop their leadership by learning how to direct a drama. We hope students in our club eventually become people who dare to express themselves and have the ability for drama appreciation.

Business Information Technology (BIT)

The club will bridge the gap between these two worlds, while also developing a system which creates a space where the improvement of those interested in both worlds. We strive to create an atmosphere where ideas and minds collude together to further our understanding between business and information systems.

Car Infotainment System Technology Club

The purpose of the club is to create a platform for students who have interests in car infotainment technology to share their ideas and help each other. We are interested in new electric intelligent vehicles. We hope to optimize the car infotainment system and make cars more intelligent. We will also contact the automotive industry such as Tesla, Inc., thus providing opportunities for club members to learn about the latest intelligent vehicle technologies.

Career Development Club

The goal of the club is to help students to build up their job skills and to find their career paths. We have many activities and workshops that students can join like the coming event career game camp. This club will encourage students to find their interest and help them decide their major which is related to their job choice.

We are those who believe that Jesus is Lord and love to read and study the Bible with other fellow believers to grow in life spiritually and run the Christian race together. College Leap @ De Anza

The purpose of this club shall be to provide Transfer Students (Domestic and International) with access to resources and information about internships, volunteering opportunities for their career development and to prepare them to transfer to a 4-year college.

Competitive Programming Club

The purpose of the club is to prepare and enter members into programming competitions. Programming competitions include the ACM ICPC, NAIPC, and others. This club is not meant for beginners to learn programming for the first time, but rather to learn algorithms and apply them to problems.

Creative Writers, De Anza

The purpose of this club is to bring together students interested in creative writing and provide opportunities to learn more about all aspects of creative writing through readings, activities and events. The Club helps students improve their writing, facilitates sharing of feedback on written works and helps students find ways to publish their work. De Anza Creative Writers hopes to raise interest in creative writing among students.

Cryptography Club

The purpose of the club is to help students initially understand the concepts of cryptography, the history of cryptography, the classification of encryption methods, the principles of dual-key encryption, and applications of it. This club is to get students to build a simple cryptography system based on what they have learned in this club.

The Developers Guild aims to explore Computer Science through hands-on experience. Fellowship of Overseas Students (FOS)

We are a group of Chinese Christians at De Anza College seeking to be Jesus’ witness by caring international students, emphasizing virtuous characters found in the Bible, and supporting one another academically. We welcome you to join us at our weekly meeting at the campus.

Game Dev Club

The purpose of the club is to collaborate and learn about video game development. We strive to strengthen people’s knowledge about all aspects of development of video games, including design, programming, art, and sound. Medical Outreach Association

The Medical Outreach Association engages prospective health and medical students to explore the field through philanthropic activities and outreach in public health. Organizations that we support but are not limited to, include the Prosthetic Outreach Foundation and the Stanford – Papua New Guinea-Nepal Medical Project, a branch of Stanford Emergency Medicine International (SEMI). Joining M.O.A. provides members the opportunity to evaluate their interests in medical and health careers.

Outdoor Club of De Anza College

Camping, kayaking, backpacking, surfing and other activities. Most designed for beginners as well as experienced.

Palgorithm

The purpose of the club is to learn problem solving skills and algorithms using Python. This club is open to anyone with or without background of coding experience. We aim to create a community in which each member can get involved in the fields of computer science.

Permias Indonesian Students Organization (PISO)

An organization to bring all the Permias Indonesian students at De Anza College closer to each other while maintaining and sharing the traditions within the community.

Photography Club

The purpose of the club is to educate members to help improve their skills and ability to use their photography in a meaningful way.

Psychology Club

The purpose of the club is to provide an enjoyable atmosphere where those interested in psychology can interact with fellow students as well as professions in the field and talk about current issues in psychology today along with personal job/internship possibilities.

The Pilipino Unity Student Organization (PUSO) strives to educate community members about Pilipinx history, culture, and current events through workshops and events. PUSO lives on the idea of "Kapamilya," or family, where we celebrate our identity and support each other for positive change within ourselves, the community, and abroad.

Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC)

The purpose of the club is to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC offers input on the activities, program services, and policies that affect student-athletes. Input of the SAAC will be requested on various issues and topics as initiated by the Dean of Physical Education & Athletics or designee.

Taiwanese Assocation of De Anza College

To unite students from Taiwan, help out students who just arrived, provide information and help on learning, about De Anza, and collects housing information, job opportunities. Further, introduce Taiwanese culture to other diversities.

Traditional Chinese Culture Club

The purpose of the club is to communicate and introduce Chinese traditional culture, including literature, Tang and Song poetry, Han-Fu, Chinese Chess, Go, and Mahjong, etc.

Triathlon Club, De Anza

The purpose of the club is to develop a community of multi-sport athletes from recreational to the elite who share a common purpose. The triathlon, which originated in California and is still a minor sport. We can tell people about how a Triathlon is exciting and can improve cardiovascular health and increase interest in the sport. And we will meet a lot of people who are participating in other sports such as swimming or cycling or running, hence the name Triathlon. We can always learn and support each other. The De Anza Triathlon Club is a sport-related organization dedicated to the athlete for the promotion and participation in multi-sport competition. De Anza Triathlon Club believes in directing each athlete to achieve their personal athletic goals, encouraging individual growth and performance in the sport through mentoring and learning, participating in organized group training sessions consisting of professionally designed workouts, and socialization in a fun and welcome environment, all while maintaining the unique competitiveness and spirit of endurance sports.

UNICEF De Anza

UNICEF De Anza strives to make UNICEF De Anza to be known as the true advocate of children’s wellbeing. We fundraise to gain financial support for children’s betterment and volunteer for causes involving children.

Vietnamese Student Association (VSA)

Celebrate Vietnamese culture and language through various cultural and traditional activities. Support Vietnamese American students with their educational needs and issues on campus.

The main missions of the club are: 1. To educate the student body about how to reduce plastic waste and how to be environmentally sustainable. 2. To create a supportive environment for students to voice their concerns related to environmental pollution and tackle issues on and off campus together.
