Group Tutoring
Non-credit group tutoring or Supplemental Instruction (SI) is offered in conjunction with some courses or by arrangement with the course instructor. A tutor who has already taken the course and been recommended by the instructor leads the group. During the meeting time, you will discuss class material, participate in activities with your classmates, and learn strategies to study the subject better on your own. Regular attendance is usually required for group tutoring, though drop-in groups are available for some courses. Non-credit group tutoring is different from our 1/2 unit Adjunct Skills groups, which require regular attendance and completion of a lab requirement.
For a list of current classes that have group tutoring available, see the group tutoring schedule.
To participate in group tutoring, first submit a Tutee Application.
