Transfer Admission Agreement / Guarantee (TAA/TAG)
A Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) or Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), is a contractual agreement that provides De Anza College students guaranteed admission to a participating California State University, University of California, independent or out-of-state institution.
A TAG/TAA may not be available for all majors, impacted programs, and colleges or schools at a participating TAG/TAA college or university. Students interested in completing a TAG/TAA must satisfy specified course and admission requirements in a timely manner in order to be guaranteed admission to the participating four-year institution.
Specific procedures at De Anza College and links to appropriate TAG/TAA web sites for participating four-year institutions will also be posted and updated as soon as the information becomes available.
Students are encouraged to meet with a De Anza College counselor, academic adviser or a visiting four-year university representative approximately one year prior to transfer to review TAG/TAA eligibility and requirements and for course planning purposes. Due to limited staffing, De Anza College counselors and academic advisers are often only available to answer quick questions.
Students are advised to consult with a De Anza College counselor or academic adviser as early as possible to confirm your choice of classes.
Visit the Meet with a Counselor page to view the academic services available through the De Anza College Counseling & Advising Center or stop by the Counseling & Advising Center or the Transfer Center located on the 2nd floor of the Student & Community Services Building.
