Transfer Admission Agreement / Guarantee (TAA/TAG)
A Transfer Admission Agreement (TAA) or Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), is a contractual agreement that provides De Anza College students guaranteed admission to a participating California State University, University of California, independent or out-of-state institution.
A TAA/TAG may not be available for all majors, impacted programs, and colleges or schools at a participating TAA/TAG college or university. Students interested in completing a TAA/TAG must satisfy specified course and admission requirements in a timely manner in order to be guaranteed admission to the participating four-year institution.
Upon confirming eligibility for a TAA/TAG, students are encouraged to meet with a university admissions representative (when available) or a De Anza College counselor or academic adviser to review and confirm course selection. TAA/TAG advising is recommended at least one year prior to transfer.
TAA/TAG advising services are often limited in the Counseling & Advising Center and Transfer Center (located on the 2nd floor of the Student & Community Services Building). Visit the Meet with a Counselor page for guidelines and how to prepare for an appointment with a counselor or academic adviser.
