Registration assistance

needs and allow time for arranging accommodations
It is advisable to have a plan of courses that
meet your educational goals prepared before your
registration appointment. If you need assistance
to develop such a plan, please make an appointment
early in the quarter, before the busy registration
period, with a counselor in DSS or the Counseling
Center.
Steps to obtain registration
assistance through Disability Support Services:
1. All students must have current medical
documentation on file before scheduling an intake
registration appointment.
2. Students new to the program will schedule
an intake appointment and, if time permits, may
complete registration at that time or may schedule
a 2nd registration appointment.
3. Students must complete the required
college placement tests to enroll in English or
math. Contact DSS is you need test accommodations
for these. Otherwise, check the Schedule for times
and locations of these tests.
4. Bring to your counseling appointment
the following
your educational plan
your rehabiliation plan, if you have one
list of proposed course sections you want
to enroll in
a check or credit card (Visa/Mastercard)
to pay your fees
SSI proof of benefits, if applicable
Steps to obtain registration
assistance through Educational Diagnostic Center
1. Students must have provided current
learning disability documentation and have completed
a new student intake before receiving registration
assistance.
2. Students must complete the required
college placement tests to enroll in English or
math. Contact EDC if you need test accommodations.
Otherwise, check the Schedule for times and locations
of these tests.
3. Bring the following to your meeting
with your advisor
your educational plan, from your academic
counselor
your rehabilitation plan, if you have one
list of proposed course sections you want
to enroll in
4. You will officially enroll for your
course on EDC Registration Day. Use either of
the following--
on-line registration procedure
telephone STAR registration procedure
5. If you need assistance, call or come
by EDC on EDC Registration day.
6. You may also choose to register on
the date and time assigned to you by the college.
7. Pay fees at the cashiers office
or on-line using current college guidelines.
Policy
To receive registration assistance, you
must have completed:
-- the disability documentation process
-- the intake process, if a new student
--the yearly update of your Student Education
Contract(SEC) with your counselor/advisor, if
a continuing student
Early registration dates and information
is sent to you by mail. If you do not receive
this notification, it is your responsibility to
check in with the programs for updated information.
Enrollment may not be assured if a student
has not met prerequisites, paid fees,
or has holds on their record. It is the students
responsibility to confirm
their completed enrollment with the programs.
