De Anza Extended Year Summer College for Kids and Teens is a summer enrichment program where the focus is on teaching and learning, not grades and exams. The program operates at three locations for easy access, is four weeks in length and is offered in the morning hours. We offer a wide selection of fee-based, not-for-credit enrichment classes designed for students entering 1st through 10th grades.

Class Instructional Dates: June 24th - July 19th (No class on July 4th)

Online Registration: March 4th - June 16th.

Before you select classes:

  • Students must enroll into the grade level they will enter in Fall 2013. Example 1
  • For a class that meets for four hours. You would only enroll in one hour - NOT all four. Example 2
  • Students have to be enrolled in consecutive classes to remain on campus and picked-up following their last class.

Extended Year classes are for students who are performing academically at or above grade level. We strongly recommend all students read, speak and write English at grade level. Students do not have to be Cupertino residents to enroll.

Our credentialed instructors come from local colleges, universities, public and private high schools, middle and elementary school districts throughout California. Our instructors possess substantial subject matter expertise and are well versed in the needs of the specific age group they instruct.

Add a New Class: If you wish to add a new class for your child, parents may go online through June 16th to add a class to their child's schedule.

Switch or Drop a Class: There is a $70 fee to drop or switch a class through May 31st. No drops or switches will be allowed after this date. Class change requests must be submitted via email.

Class change requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis depending on class availability.

All refund requests must be submitted via email.

Requests before May 13, 2013 - $80 service fee

Requests between May 14 - May 31, 2013 - $120 service fee

Requests after May 31, 2013 - Refund requests will be considered on an individual basis by the Dean of Community Education. If a refund is issued between June 1 and June 21, 2013, it will be for 50% of the total registration fees paid per student. No refunds will be issued for students after June 21, 2013.

We are accepting teaching applications for summer 2013. Go to the instructors page for details and an application.

The Extended Year catalog will be available via our Community Education App in late February. Download the app today at the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon App Store
