Winter 2013 Visiting Author
Please join our Puente students in reading our selected novel and/or attending the author's talk! Author Reyna Grande Grande is an author, speaker and educator. Her work includes her recent memoir, The Distance Between Us (Atria, 2012), and two novels, Across a Hundred Mountains and Dancing with Butterflies.
Originally from Mexico, Reyna came to the U.S. as an undocumented child immigrant to live with her father, whom she hadn't seen in eight years. She went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz, Reyna holds a B.A. and and M.F.A. in creative writing. Learn more at www.reynagrande.com.
