Prerequisites:Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. Course Description:Field observation of California's native plants and animals in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, with an emphasis on endangered, rare, protected and reintroduced species. The underlying social, economic and political issues associated with habitat and species loss will be discussed, as well as impacts on various cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
