Prerequisites:Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273. Course Description:Provides an introduction to the fundamentals of lighting and energy management lighting techniques. Discusses the different types of lighting and day-lighting applications used in commercial and institutional buildings, while describing the quality and quantity of lighting needed for certain applications, measuring efficiency, color rendering, ballasts, etc. Lighting design that provides visual comfort at lower energy costs will be emphasized.
