Program Coordinator
Wilfredo Q. Castano
has taught photography at De Anza College since 1989. He
regularly teaches courses in intermediate and advanced black-and-white
photography, as well as beginning and advanced color photography.
Castano's photographs have been exhibited at the San Francisco
Museum of Modern Art, the Berkeley Art Museum, the University
of Erlangen (Germany), and additional galleries throughout
the United States and abroad. He has published his work
widely, in periodicals such as McCalls, Town and Country, Gentleman's
Quarterly, and San Francisco Focus, and his work has been reviewed
in periodicals such as Artweek, popular Photography, and Modern
Photography. Castano holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and a
Master of Arts degree in English from San Francisco State
University.
