OTI-Transitional Subsidized Employment (TSE)

The Occupational Training Institute (OTI) is a resource for employers seeking FREE hiring solutions. 

OTI offers this valuable service to both employers and eligible applicants through the OTI-Transitional Subsidized Employment (TSE) program in partnership with the County of Santa Clara.

How the Program Benefits Business

• OTI subsidizes $5.00 of the hourly wages by reimbursement for 3 consecutive months if employer hires a client of the program.
• Employers benefit from career-focused candidates who have the knowledge and abilities to match their company's job requirements.
• Employers augment staffing, while increasing their recruitment pool of potential employees.
• Employers are directly involved in the training of their future workforce.

How an Employer can Participate

• Submit a job description of your open position to a TSE job developer.
• Your job developer will refer matching candidates to you, including their resumes.
• Once you have selected the best candidate and s/he accepts the position, notify your job developer who will then meet with you for completion of paperwork in order for your organization to be eligible for the subsidy. This includes a worksite agreement with us.
