A Message from your Instructor
Welcome to Introduction to Entrepreneurship (Business 55). I have tried to create a course that is interesting to take and easy to complete. This is a 5 unit course, so you will be expected to spend about 15-20 hours a week taking this course.
You must buy and read the assigned pages in the course textbook in order to be successful in this class. The textbook is:

"Entrepreneurial Small Business," 3rd ed., by Jerome A. Katz and Richard P. Green, McGraw-Hill/Irwin, 2011. ISBN: 9780073381572.
Note: Do not get an international edition of this textbook. Also, we are using the 3rd edition of the text, but the 2nd edition should be fine as well.

I recommend you obtain your text and get started on the material AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Right now would be good. Remember that on the quarter system, the term moves quickly. If you order your text online and it takes more than a week to arrive, you will fall behind!
Hours of Study
Be prepared to spend a minimum of 15-20 hours per week using and studying the course materials.
How to get started in your course
Once the quarter starts you will be able to login to the course web site at:

This site also has links for technical help and FAQ related to the Catalyst system used for this course. Make sure you are able to login to the system and access the course web site. Review the syllabus carefully and familiarize yourself with the site. Once you've completed this, then let me know if you have any questions.
