The Online Education Center offers workshops and training programs to assist faculty in their use of Canvas and in their hybrid and online course design.
Canvas Certification Training
By completing Canvas Certification Training, you will be able to use Canvas for online,
hybrid or face-to-face classes. All faculty must be certified in order to use Canvas at De Anza College. We offer two certification options - one for those new to Canvas and one for those
with Canvas experience.

These workshops are designed for faculty to increase their use and explore more the advanced features of Canvas. We recommend that faculty have completed Modules 1 and 2 of Canvas Certification Training before attending a Beyond-the-Basics workshops.
Workshops rotate quarterly and include topics such as Cheat-Resistant Assessments,
Using Video Online, Advanced Module Features, Rubrics, and much more.

CVC-OEI Course Exchange & Course Design Academy
For experienced online instructors...
We are part of the Online Education Initiative 2.0 Cohort and our faculty are now eligible to make their online courses available through the OEI Course Exchange. The course(s) must have been taught online for at least one term, adhere to the OEI Course Design Rubric, and be assessed through @ONE's Course Design Academy before becoming eligible.
