Programs Offered

Nursing Programs is a link to a document providing concise documentation of requirements and classes required for the following two programs offered by the Nursing Program at De Anza College:

• Registered Nursing (Associate of Science Degree)
• LVN Transition to Registered Nursing (Associate of Science Degree)

There is an Advanced Placement option to allow students from other registered nursing programs to transfer in our Registered Nursing Program, space permitting.  The prerequisites are identical to those of the RN program except that Nursing 50 is not required. We also provide RN Refresher opportunities, if adequate resources are available. Use the "Contact Us" link on the left side of this page for more information.

• College Course Equivalency Spreadsheet - A spreadsheet listing courses at some California colleges, both local and farther away, that are equivalent to the following De Anza College Nursing Program prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Developmental Psychology. (Updated 1/25/08 - Changes for Grossmont, CSU East Bay, San Jose State, CSU Stanislaus, and added Sierra)
• Nursing Program Application - This link is to the Nursing Program Application.  It is to be used for first time applications and for re-applying if you were previously rejected.  It can be used for application to the 2-year RN program, the LVN Transition Program, and the RN Advanced Placement Program. • Random Selection Reactivation Form - To be completed by those students who already applied and were allowed to attend previous lotteries, did not participate in the last lottery & wish to be invited to the next lottery. This form must be submitted before the application deadline for the quarter of interest. (Updated 7/6/07)
