African Heritage and Black History Events

De Anza College will be closed on Jan. 19 in observance of Martin Luther King's birthday. Classes still meet on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 17-18.

Third Thursday Film Festival

Join the Black Leadership Collective and the African American Studies Department every third Thursday of the month for an evening of film and dialogue.

Martin Luther KingOn Thursday, Jan. 15, a reception to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King will be held at 5 p.m. before the film screening begins.

Each year the African Ancestry Association (AAA) hosts the Black History Month Scholarship Luncheon. Please join us for this year's event as  as we raise funds and awareness for our African Ancestry Heritage Scholarships.
