Graduation 2004

On Thursday, June 10, 2004 ISP hosted the International Student Achievement Reception. It's an annual event that gives us an opportunity to congratulate those who obtain an AA/AS degree and/or those who transfer to a 4-year university. To mention some of the institutions our class of 2003-2004 is transferring to: U.C. Berkeley, U.C. Davis, U.C. Los Angeles, U.C. San Diego, and San Jose State University. Some of our students are also transferring to other universities outside of California like: University of Minnesota, Purdue University, University of Illinois, Texas A & M University and University of Michigan.

The celebration this year was also dedicated to the arts. We wanted to share the many talents our International students possess. A special thanks goes to all of our students who enriched the event with their presentations and here they are:

 

• Prachi Sharma, student from India, performed a traditional Indian dance based on a movie titled "Devdas" .
• Kow Adjei, student from Ghana, played the guitar and sang two songs titled: That's What She Said and Promis.
• Maria Carolina Crespo, student from Panama, showed a short film titled: El Ataud.
• Izabella Melamed, student from Bulgaria, showed a short film titled: "From The Paper".
• Rita Lau, student from Hong Kong, displayed black and white photos with a theme of "Hands".
•  Yuliana Vanegas, student from Colombia, displayed two oil paintings with a theme of "Colores".
• Jane Qi, student from China, displayed a pencil sketch portrait of "Dorothea Lange".
