Satisfactory Academic Progress - WarningStatus Definitions: Good Standing, Warning, Probation, DisqualificationWarning – Unit Completion In the last quarter in which you attempted six or more units, you did not earn the required number of units for your enrollment status. Warning – Quarterly GPA In the last quarter in which you attempted six or more units, you did not earn a 2.0 GPA for the quarter. Warning – Cumulative GPA At the end of the last quarter you did not have a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Warning – Maximum Time At the end of the last quarter the number of units of higher education that you have attempted was approaching the end of your maximum time frame. At the end of this quarter if you reach the maximum time frame, you will be disqualified. If you will not earn your degree or certificate by the time you reach the maximum time frame, and would like to appeal for additional aid eligibility, you must complete the Request for Extension process. NOTE: Refer to the Time Frame chart below and the Instructions on the Request for Extension form for detail information. Pace Second-Year students will meet the pace requirement by showing their Degree Requirements are at least 50% met (if they have 50 - 74 units attempted) OR at least 75% met (if they have 75 - 99 units attempted) by submitting a DegreeWorks Audit printout OR by submitting a DegreeWorks printout showing they have met with a counselor and have a "locked" educational plan to follow. Failure to establish pace will result in a financial aid disbursement hold for the award year.
Students in warning status are eligible for aid during the one warning quarter if all other eligibility criteria are met. Students who fail to meet the satisfactory progress requirements at the end of the warning quarter, will become disqualified from aid.
