My name is Pauline Yeckley and I am the instructor for this class. In addition to teaching, I have been a reference librarian at De Anza College Library for 22 years and enjoy my work very much!     Although this is an optional meeting, please try to attend as it is the only time we will meet in person. We will begin working on Assignment #1 during this time. Hope to see you there!

    Course Requirements

  • Have access to a computer that reliably provides you with your own e-mail address and with which you can send and receive e-mail and use the World Wide Web. If you do not have your own personal e-mail account, we can establish one at the orientation session.
  • Answers to assignments must be sent as part of the email body. I will not correct assignments that are sent as attachments.

    please note: if you register for this class but do not turn in any assignments, nor do you contact me, you will receive an F grade. It is the responsibility of the student to drop this distance learning class.
    please note: all assignments and the final are due on Thursday, June 26, 2008, by 1:00 PM.

  • Course Description

    Go beyond general web searching to find the best information available on your topic. Learn to refine and focus your search and use specialized search tools available on the World Wide Web.
