Intermediate Algebra for College Students, 7th edition by Robert Blitzer.
Pencil, eraser, paper, graph paper. Graphing or scientific calculator.
Qualifying score on the Math Placement Test within last calendar year; or Mathematics 210 with a grade of C or better, or equivalent. Advisory: English Writing 211 and Reading 211 (or Language Arts 211), or English as a Second Language 272 and 273
Application of linear functions, quadratic functions and linear systems to problems. Emphasis on the development of models of real world applications and interpretation of their characteristics.
According to the college catalog, page 33, “Students should expect two hours of outside preparation for each one hour spent in class.” Thus it is expected that students that take my classes should spend at least 8 hours a week outside of class.
The use of cell phones, cameras, texting devices or any other unauthorized electronic devices are not allow in class.
