Returns to the Bay Area from Oregon

Jeanine Hawk to Oversee Our $60 Million Annual Budget

Jeanine HawkJeanine Hawk photo knows how to balance a multimillion-dollar budget, a sought-after skill in California. But Hawk, our new vice president of Finance and College Services, has many interests and abilities in addition to crunching numbers.

Hawk is thrilled to return to a community college. Between 1994 and 2002, she served as associate dean, director of business services and finance director at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Ore. She also was the director of Student Budget & Planning and Student Employment Services for two years.

In that capacity, Hawk developed services that enhanced student retention and helped students meet their employment goals. “I worked closely with students, understood their perspectives, and saw the effects of college policies and procedures and how they really worked,” she said.

Most recently, she was the finance director for Medford, Ore., where she coordinated citywide fiscal operations. Her varied background includes working as a controller at a small electronics company and running fast-food franchises with husband Michael.
