I continue to take courses at local community colleges pursuing myinterest in Spanish, Drama, Computer Programming, and the Internet.
Biography
Wallis Leslie decided to become a community college English teacherwhile attending classes at College of San Mateo. The classes were sostimulating, the teachers so enlightening, and the students sosupportive that a lifetime interest in providing first-rate educationto community college students began. My years of teaching have ledmeto have high expectations of thetalentedand diverse students who come to my classes. Myessay grading criteria favor students whochallenge themselves with demanding topics and do hard and freshthinking about them. I have taught courses in Critical Thinking,Reading and Composition, Literature and Composition, BasicComposition, Creative Writing,English as a Second Language,Shakespeare, Mythology, and Poetry.
In my spare time I vacuum, do laundry, write, hike, and serve asLeader Trainer and lead discussion groups and plan poetry weekendsfor the Greak BooksCouncil of the San Francisco Bay Area, servingnorthern California.
