Meet with a Counselor

Currently enrolled De Anza students may schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor or academic advisor.

Appointment Guidelines

To schedule an appointment, come to the Counseling and Advising Center during office hours or call 408.864.5400.


Be Prepared for Your Meeting

Bring all appropriate paper work about your education to any Counseling meeting, workshop or class, including the following:

  • Work completed at prior meetings
  • articulation agreements
  • Transcripts

Are You a New Student to De Anza?

Please follow these steps before meeting individually with a counselor or advisor.

  1. Apply for admission
  2. Take placement tests
  3. Sign-up for a New Student Orientation
  4. Enroll in COUN 200: Orientation to College.
  5. What if I need to register for classes before I complete COUN 200? See which courses to take first.

  3. Submit transcripts for Prerequisite Clearance
