Services for Employers
The De Anza College Career Center is committed to developing and maintaining positive relationships with employers. We have standard criteria upon which these relationships are formed. Please read our recruitment policy to determine if your company is eligible to recruit on the De Anza campus.

Instructions for Posting a Job or Internship
Online Posting - Reach a wider audience by posting your job or internship listing online. De Anza College has teamed with Monstertrak to provide an online job board specifically targeted to De Anza students. To list your job or internship online, please go directly to the Monstertrak website, call 1-800-999-8725, or send a fax to 310-475-7912. Please let Monstertrak know that you have been referred by De Anza College.

Posting in the Career Center - To post your job or internship in the De Anza College Career Center binders, please fax a one-page listing to us at 408/864-5607 or e-mail it to us at careercenter@deanza.edu. Your listing will be featured in our job binders for a period of 30 days. If you find a suitable candidate within 30 days, please notify us, and we will remove your listing from our binders.

Reserve a Recruiting Table in the De Anza Campus Center -- Talk to and recruit students in the De Anza College Hinson Campus Center. Tables are conveniently located adjacent to the cafeteria, a high traffic area. Please plan in advance, as table reservations are a hot commodity at De Anza.

Job Fairs - Each year De Anza College hosts a Spring Job Fair and a Fall Job Fair. This year the Spring Job Fair will take place on Thursday, May 15th. Please be advised that we have already reached capacity for this event and are no longer accepting registrations from employers. If you would like your company to take part in the October Job Fair (date to be determined) please check back with us in mid-July when the registration materials will be available.

Criteria for Employers to Recruit on the De Anza College Campus
Developed by the De Anza College
Career Center Oversight Committee

To be eligible to recruit students for employment on campus or on the De Anza College Career Center's web site, employers must:
  1. Be a corporation, a limited liability partnership (L.L.P.), a not-for-profit [501(c)(3)] organization, a government agency or an educational institution.
  2. Offer jobs that pay a base salary equal to or greater than a minimum wage in compliance with city/county/state/federal labor laws and ordinances. This base salary must take the form of a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly wage, comprised of a set hourly, weekly, or monthly rate.
  3. Not recruit for jobs that offer a commission-only salary.
  4. Not require prospective employees to purchase products or services contingent upon their employment with that company.
  5. Offer jobs that provide a physical location for prospective employees to perform their duties.
  6. Not be involved in a "pyramid" or multi-level type networking structure requiring or encouraging the recruitment of others who recruit others, etc. to sell products or services.
  7. Provide adequate protection to the employee through Workmen's Compensation and/or liability insurance as required by law and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
The De Anza College Career Center reserves the right to change, modify, or add criteria to the above standards as needed. Questions should be directed to the De Anza College Career Center Coordinator, (408) 864-5716.
