On January 31, more than 1,000 colleges and universities across the
country will be participating in an event called "Focus the Nation" to
raise awareness and stimulate action around climate change. Here at De
Anza a group has formed to plan our activities, and we're looking for
members to join the committee. We're also looking for faculty willing
to devote a piece of their winter curriculum to climate change.
Interested faculty can open their class to the campus community for the
day they present their climate change curriculum, they can open their
class to visitors from a high school, or they can plan special
curriculum just for their own class. In addition, we're looking for
faculty willing to have students engage in service learning as a part
of their winter classes on climate change. For more information, please
contact Cynthia Kaufman at kaufmancynthia@fhda.edu or ext.8887. Electronic BillboardsOur two signs are located near the Flint Center on Stevens Creek and at the corner of Stelling and Stevens Creek.
