About the Exhibit
The Saratoga Community Garden flourished as an educational demonstration garden for children and the community from 1972 to 1987, providing an opportunity for all to connect with the ways of the garden and sustainable farming and to glean insights from nature. The 10-acre living classroom — with nature as instructor — inspired thousands of children and adults during its 15-year life.
Our exhibit features an oral history interview with Betty Beck and Jackie Welch and many photos of the garden.
