De Anza College

At De Anza, the Athletics Department is an extension of the Physical Education Division.
It serves the needs of everyone interested in competing at a higher level of athletic competition.
Our comprehensive all-sports program includes:
- 19 sports programs for men and women, with 480 student-athletes who compete on these teams
- 9 Men's sports and 10 Women's sports
- Approximately 70 coaches, staff, and administrators who comprise the De Anza College Athletics Department: 15 head coaches, 36 assistant coaches, and 9 staff and administrators
- Consistent success rate both on the field and in the classroom
- De Anza Institutional Research reports a GPA of about 3.01 for student-athletes last year.
- De Anza student-athletes have been successful in transferring to the university level.
- 5 All-Americans and 18 All-Californians during the 2010-11 school year.
- Aprox $1.4 million in academic and athletic scholarships secured by De Anza student-athletes last year (10-11).

Student Athletes
De Anza coaches, staff, and administration are eager to assist student athletes in academics and sports. Our student athletes

- We have a full-time Academic Advisor, Matt Trosper, 408.864.8646, who monitors the academic progress of all the student athletes and programs. If you are a prospective student athlete, see our steps for getting started.

- Every team in season has a team room with video and computer connections. There are equipment managers that serve all programs and provide equipment laundry service.
