Scheduling Your Placement Test

Students may schedule appointments for placement test(s) to guarantee seats for a specific date and time.

  • It is highly recommended to make an appointment to to insure that you can test on a certain day and time. See current test dates and times.
  • Request an appointment two (2) weeks in advance of the test date(s).
  • Testing is available on a stand-by basis, but seats are not guaranteed.
  • Students must bring a current valid photo I.D. (driver's license, passport, student ID card) to make an appointment in person or take a test by standby.

NEW STUDENTS

You may use the online appointment system to schedule your placement test(s)  IF

  • you have never taken any placement tests at De Anza or Foothill College, and
  • you have not enrolled in any English, ESL or Math courses.

To make an appointment, please complete the online agreement form to confirm you have read the information on this website about test preparation and retest policies as listed on the Placement Test Checklist.

 

New Students Make Your Appointment

CONTINUING and FORMER STUDENTS

If the online appointment system does not allow you to make an appointment, schedule your placement test in person at the Assessment Center.

 

To speak with a representative to make an appointment, come to the Assessment Center Information Entrance, Room 144, inside the Student & Community Services Building.

Walk-in, Stand-by Testing

  • Testing is available on a stand-by basis, but seats are not guaranteed.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early before your selected placement test date and time.
  • Come to the Assessment Center Entrance at Room 144 inside the Student and Community Services Building.
  • You will be asked to sign a paper agreement form to confirm you have read the information on this website about test preparation and retest policies as listed on the Placement Test Checklist.

Day of Test Location Entrance

BY APPOINTMENT: The Assessment Center Testing Lab is located in the Student and Community Services Building, Room 146. Use the outside door to testing lab on Stevens Creek Blvd. side of the building.

 

STAND-BY TESTING: To check in for stand-by testing and/or to speak with an Assessment Center representative, please use the Assessment Center entrance at Room 144 inside the Student and Community Services Building.
